  • Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes, we operate strictly by appointment to provide you with the most personalized experience. First-time wedding dress fittings can be booked via email, WhatsApp, or SMS.
  • Are bridesmaids allowed to attend fittings?
Yes, bridesmaids are welcome if additional appointment time is available during your session. Otherwise, a separate booking will be required.
  • How many guests may accompany me to my appointment?
You are welcome to bring up to three guests to accompany you, in addition to yourself, to ensure an intimate and focused experience.
  • Who should accompany me to my appointment?
We recommend bringing one or two trusted individuals whose opinions you value most—such as a sister, best friend, or mother. For larger bridal parties, we suggest reserving this experience for your complimentary second fitting to keep the focus on you.
  • How do fittings work at Wedding Bells?
Fittings are by appointment only, with a fitting fee of R300, payable in advance. Each fitting session is one hour, during which you may try on as many dresses as you wish. Should you need to reschedule, we will accommodate you based on availability. Please note, however, that cancellations or unattended appointments are non-refundable. For your convenience, we also offer a complimentary second fitting, allowing you to revisit gowns you were quoted on to ensure your perfect choice.
  • How many dresses can I try on per appointment?
You may try on as many dresses as you wish within the allotted appointment timeframe.
  • What should I bring to my appointment?
Inspiration: Photos of dresses you admire. Undergarments: Nude-colored undergarments and, if possible, a strapless bra. Hair tie: For convenience when trying on dresses. Payment methods: We accept EFT, MasterCard, Visa, and cash.
  • When should I schedule my first alteration fitting?
Once your gown arrives, we’ll contact you to schedule your alteration fitting, typically 4–6 weeks before your wedding. If you’ve taken your gown home, we recommend contacting us within the same timeframe to arrange your fitting.
  • Are children allowed during fittings?
To maintain a serene atmosphere and ensure the best experience for all brides, we kindly ask that no children under the age of 10 attend fittings.
  • Do you offer gown rentals?
Yes, we provide both rental and purchase options to suit your budget while ensuring you find the dress of your dreams.
  • How far in advance should I purchase my gown?
We recommend purchasing your gown 5–8 months before your wedding to allow time for manufacturing, shipping, and alterations. Lead times for custom orders range from 1 to 5 months, depending on stock availability. For immediate needs, we also offer a selection of new and sample gowns available in-store.
  • What sizes are available for sample dresses?
Our studio carries sample gowns in sizes ranging from 6 to 20, with most samples in sizes 10, 12, and 14. We can order any gown in your desired size to ensure a flawless fit.
  • What is the difference between White, Ivory, Off-White, and Diamond White?
White: The purest, brightest shade, ideal for olive or darker complexions. Ivory/Off-White: Subtle yellow undertones create a romantic, vintage aesthetic and are flattering for fairer skin tones. Diamond White: A softer shade of white that provides a balance between the modern and traditional. Selecting the perfect shade will depend on your complexion, wedding theme, and personal preferences.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
We accept EFT, MasterCard, Visa, and cash payments. For gown orders, a 50% deposit is required upon placement, with the remaining balance payable upon your gown’s arrival. Alteration fees are due before collection. Should your wedding be more than 8 weeks away, we encourage you to collect your gown and return for final fittings 4–6 weeks before your big day.
  • Are alterations included in the purchase price?
Alterations are not included in the gown’s price. Fees typically range from R500–R2000, depending on the complexity of the alterations. For additional embellishments, we kindly request that you provide these items during your first alteration fitting.
  • Are alteration fittings available on weekends?
Our alteration department operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 16:00. For convenience, we recommend scheduling fittings locally if possible, as multiple visits may be required. If you prefer to work with our team, ensure you’re available for 3–5 weekday fittings in the 4–6 weeks leading up to your wedding.
